The Board is excited to announce the launch of geologist renewals in its new database. Renewals are now live for licenses expiring on December 31, 2024.
You can now start your renewal and save your information to complete later. Multiple payment options include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and ACH (electronic check). All renewals must be processed online, as the Board will no longer accept paper renewals or checks. The Board also no longer has the ability to process IBTs from other Nebraska state agencies.
To select Emeritus status, you will need to click on the box next to Convert to Emeritus before clicking the Start Renewal button.
To renew, go to https://licensing.nebog.nebraska.gov/landing. (You should bookmark the page for future use.) You will need to set up an account before you can renew. In setting up your account, here are a few things to keep in mind:
-
A unique email address must be used for each account. Companies cannot use the same email address for multiple individuals as the email is the username.
-
Current licensees must use the email address on file with the Board when setting up their account.
-
You must enter your full social security number in compliance with Nebraska Child Support statutes.
-
Addresses must follow standard USPS formatting, including the Zip+4 (i.e., 68509-5165). To look up your address, visit the USPS website.
-
Passwords must be at least eight characters, consisting of an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number (0-9), and a special character (!@#$%^&*)
-
You can change your email once your account is set up and you enter your contact information. The system will ask you to confirm you want to change your email, as it will also change your username. You must confirm by clicking Yes and then Save again to accept the change.
Once you have renewed, you will receive an email confirming your payment. Once the system or staff has processed your renewal, a second email will be sent confirming your license has been renewed with your new expiration date.
If you have issues setting up your account or have questions, please contact the Board’s office at (402) 471-8383 or nebog.board@nebraska.gov for assistance.
